Royal Flamingos, Benahavis, Marbella – 3 bedroom apartment and penthouse for sale

If you find yourself in 2010 in the market for a luxury apartment or penthouse in on Spain’s Costa del Sol and incredible views are at the top of your wish list, then let me tell you all about the few remaining apartments and penthouses on sale at Royal Flamingos.

Royal Flamingos is a private gated community situated on a hillside roughly halfway between the typically Mediterranean beachside towns of Estepona and San Pedro.

I know real estate agents are generally prone to exaggeration, but quite simply, this complex has one of the most incredible golf and Mediterranean coastline views to be found anywhere on Spain’s Costa del Sol.

But it’s not only the views that are incredible here. The last remaining apartment and penthouse on sale are fairly special too.

The complex itself is located just 5 minutes drive from San Pedro or Estepona (depending on which way you’re headed), just a couple of kilometres inland from the main N340 coast road.

As such it’s pretty convenient for the local shops, restaurants bars and schools – and of course the beaches.

Now the first thing that strikes you as you enter the complex are the well-kept communal areas, which in additional to an abundance of sub-tropical plant and tree life, feature no less than 3 large and 3 small outdoor swimming pools, plus a Padel Tennis court.

With underground spaces available for all, parking is not a problem here. Nor is storage, as the parking area also houses a secure storage room for each apartment.

According to how energetic you feel, you can take either the lift or the stairwell to your apartment…or a combo of both, if the mood strikes you!

Aside from the overall build quality, the other outstanding interior features of these properties include:

• Large terraces – especially the penthouse version
• Antique marble floors throughout
• Radiator heating
• A pre-installed surround sound system (allowing you to listen to the TV/DVD or music via speakers set in the ceiling in the living/dining room and the bedrooms)

Additionally, the kitchens come fully-equipped with modern Bosch appliances, and have access to a separate utility area, which, in the case of the penthouse at least, is located outside on the terrace.

There’s a feeling of real spaciousness in both these properties, which is only enhanced by the clever use of glass-windowed interior doors that allow the light to permeate all areas.

And so to the terraces and those incredible views.

The penthouse apartment in particular has a very large terrace indeed.

Partially covered and running the entire south and south-west facing sides of the property, it has more than enough room in which to enjoy the outdoor Mediterranean lifestyle to the max.

As I mentioned before, without exaggeration, this terrace really does offer incredible panoramic vistas, not only across the fairways, greens and lakes of Los Flamingos golf – one of the best courses on the Costa del Sol – but also beyond to the sea and on a clear day, the mountainous skyline of northern Morocco.

The penthouse also has a second terrace, which is accessed via the kitchen and has both an outdoor utility and a separate dining area.

A 3rd terrace space meanwhile is only accessible from the 3rd bedroom and is the perfect spot for sunbathing or as a chill out zone.

The smaller apartment property meanwhile, has a main terrace accessed both via the living room and the master bedroom. Again, it offers breathtaking views across the golf to the sea and enough space for both outdoor living and dining areas.
